Year 6 Fundraising
Thank you to everyone who supported the Year 6 pupils in their fundraising efforts. The money raised will go towards their end of term treat.
Picnic
Next Tuesday24th July we will be walking over to Saltram Park for annual picnic. We intend to leave school at 9.30am and be back at 2.30pm. In the past this has worked well, it is an opportunity for the children to play different games and it helps bond the school together. All pupils who are entitled to free school meal will be provided with a packed lunch. All other pupils will need to bring their own packed lunch. Children will not need to wear school uniform, but can parents please ensure that the children have enough to drink and a sun hat (in the hope that we have good weather).

Hello and Goodbyes
At the end of term we will be saying goodbye to Mrs Walker. I would like to thank Mrs Walker for all her hard work since January. In September Miss Sarah Lunt will be joining us. Sarah is a music specialist and will be teaching our Year 1 class as well as leading music and drama throughout the school. Mr Clooke has been successful in applying for exchange visit to Australia. As a result he will spend the whole of 2002 in Australia and we will welcome Mrs Susan Matthews to Prince Rock. Mrs Matthews is an experienced teacher and will bring fresh dimension to our school. I believe it is a wonderful opportunity for our pupils to learn more about a different culture, we also hope to use the computers to allow the pupils to e-mail to Australia.
Whilst in Australia Mr Clook has to complete several assignments that will enrich our school when he returns.
The staff and I wish you all a safe and relaxing holiday. I look forward to seeing the children back in school on the 6th September.
Yours sincerely
