A REMINDER THAT CHRISTMAS LUNCH IS ON WEDNESDAY 18TH. UNLESS YOUR CHILD IS ENTITLED TO FREE MEALS, COULD YOU PLEASE BRING THE MONEY (£1.30) INTO SCHOOL BY MONDAY.
I would like to thank everyone who helped us with our Christmas production. The children were delight to watch and it was very pleasing to see so many back for the evening performance.

Thank you to everyone who has helped us to fund raise recently. The raffle raised £105, we rasied £85 from Tea Towels; the Book Fair raised £273 and £21.43 has been passed to the people who organise the Poppy Appeal.

This week we have appointed Ms Cowen to be our new SENCO. Ms Cowen will join us on March 3rd and will replace Mrs Rashleigh who has decided to move on to new adventures. I would like to thank the pupils on the School Council who took part in the interviews.

We are collecting used postage stamps in order to help raise funds for the Guide Dogs for the Blind. If you have any stamps at home (or work) could you please bring them into school and put them in the box in Mrs Smith's office. Thank you.

As you know, Mrs Matthews, exchange ends next week and the Matthews family will be returning to Australia. We will all miss them when they are gone, however we intend to keep the links that we have built up and we are looking forward to seeing the return of Mr Clooke.

Recently we had to notify the Police of a case of trespass. During the Christmas holiday I would be grateful if those of you who live near the school could report to the Police any suspicious incidents you may see on school grounds. The Police will be keeping an eye on all schools during the break.

IF YOU RECEIVE EITHER INCOME SUPPORT OR INCOME-BASED JOBSEEKER'S ALLOWANCE, YOUE CHILD WILLBE ELIGIBLE, WHETHER OR NOT THEY HAVE SCHOOL DINNERS OR PACKED LUNCH. If you think your child is eligible and you have not previously registered this term, please contact the school office IMMEDIATELY for an application form.

Children in Year 6 will notice a big change when they return after christmas - we have decided to have an interactive whiteboard installed in their classroom. This major investment will enable us to access up to date resources from the internet and allow the childre to learn in a whole new way. This is part of our on-going programme to prepare the pupils for the digital age. Next term I hope to arrange an open afternoon for parents to view this exciting new technology. Pupils in the rest of the school will be able to work on 8 new desktop PCs that are due to arrive; these will be linked to our network.
