11 Apr 2003 - NEWSLETTER April 2003 (Spring no: 7)
Red Nose Day.
Together we raised £204!
Mrs Bird?s haircut raised £162 (£81 for RND and £81 for Friends of PRPS) and children and staff raised £123.
Can I ask everyone who transports their child to school by car not to park on the double yellow lines on Embankment Road. This illegal parking is making it difficult for our lollipop lady to do her job properly and thus it puts the children at risk. This problem has also led to Staff and visitors on school business being unable to enter and leave the car park in a safe way.
Teachers have noticed that some children are not using their water bottles in class. It is important that every child has their water bottle with them during the day so they have fresh drinking water to hand when required.
Could the parents of children in Years 1 to 6 please bring their child?s white report folder (with photographs of the school on them) back into school by Fri 6th June as they are needed for the new reports.
Congratulations to the following children who are our Friends of PRPS Easter competition winners: Alanah, Bethany, Cordelia, Bradley, Jade, Shelby and Kyle. Thank you to everyone who entered - the judges had a very hard time!
Congratulations to the following children for being never late, never away: Kyle, Leanne, Shelby, James, Oliver, Crystal, Joshua, Danielle, Dale, Jayne, Adam, Jamie, Andrew, Kathryn, Chelsea, Amy, Emma, Jordan, Samuel, Tiffany, Jacob, Michael.
If any child is unable to attend their after-school club at any time, could parents please send a note into school to this effect; the note should be handed to the teacher before the club starts. Failure to provide a note means that the child will not be permitted to leave school and will have to attend the club.
The coin trail for RND was 58.32 metres long and weighed 11.1 kg
The Staff would like to wish you all a very Happy Easter and we look forward to seeing the children again on Monday 28th April.
