20 Jul 2003 - Newsletter
A Reminder that we break up on Wednesday 23rd July and return Thursday 4th September. The Staff and I would like to wish you all a happy, safe and relaxing summer holiday.
As you may be aware, THE QUEEN IS VISITING PLYMOUTH ON WEDNESDAY 23RD JULY. During the visit she will be on the Hoe; according to reports it is going to be a major event. Wednesday 23rd is our last day of school, however, if you wish to spend the day on the Hoe with the Queen, I will be happy to authorise that absence provided that we receive a note signed by a parent.

This Friday the whole school will go on our ANNUAL PICNIC TO SALTRAM. We will set off at 9:30 and to be back in school by 3:15. Could all parents please ensure that their child is wearing sensible shoes, a sunhat, brings a packed lunch and has plenty to drink. Children entitled to free school meals will be provided with a packed lunch. If the weather is bad, we will be having our picnic in school.

The winners of sports day were the Blue Team with 110 points, the Yellow and Red Teams were joint second with 95 points each and Green Team was third with 78 points.
A. Boalch was the winner of the Toddlers race. Very well done to everyone who took part in the events.

Dear Parents,
From time to time our pupils take part in activities that are photographed by the local media and/or organisations thay have worked with. These photos are then on display to the general public. Recent examples include artwork in partnership with the Theatre Royal where photos of the pupils work were displayed in the theatre and in the Evening Herald.
From our point of view it is lovely to have the achievements of the children celebrated in this way, but I realise that some of you may not want your child's photo to be available to a wide audience. If this is the case, can you please complete and return the form below by the end of term.
IF WE DO NOT RECEIVE A FORM, WE WILL ASSUME THAT YOU ARE HAPPY FOR US TO CONTINUE OUR CURRENT PRACTICE.
