21 Oct 2003 - October Newsletter

Thank you to everyone who participated in last Friday's
sports-themed mufti day. We raised a total of £69.05, which will go towards library books.

There are still parents who are not sending their child's dinner money in to school in the correct manner and this is causing on-going problems for Mrs Smith. Parents are reminded that if dinner money is not sent in an envelope with the child?s name and class clearly marked on it, their child will not be able to have a school dinner. Thank you to the majority of parents who already do this - your continued co-operation is very much appreciated.
Due to circumstances beyond our control, the cost of school dinners will be increasing to £1.45 per day (£7.25 per week) from Monday 3rd November.

Thank you to everybody for bringing in harvest gifts. Our caretaker, Edgar, has packed four boxes that will be sent to Bosnia, and items are still coming in. Please remember that the deadline for gifts is the end of this week. Thank you for your generosity

We have quite a collection of lost property (coats, etc) all of which have not been named. These items will be put on a table inside the KS2 entrance/exit from 3.15 p.m. each day this week and parents are invited to look through them. If you can?t come in to school to search in person, please drop a line to Mr Roberts, who will look for you. Any items unclaimed by the end of the week will be passed to a charity shop.

Since the start of this term several windows have been smashed by people trespassing on the school grounds at night and at weekends. The repairs cost money, which would be better spent on the children's education. If anyone sees any trespassers on school grounds, would you please report them to the Police on 08452 777444 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111. Thank you.

A REMINDER! We break up this Friday 24th and return to school on Monday 3rd November. Have a good half term!
