We will be closed on Friday 5th March, as this is a non-pupil day. We will also be closed on Thursday 10th June as this is Election Day and the school is being used as a polling station.
The school photographer will be in school on Friday 19th March. Children must wear their school uniforms. Parents with pre-school children who wish to have them photographed with their older siblings should wait outside the gym at 9.00 a.m.
We will soon have water bottles in school for the children to use. They cost £1.00 and a sample can be seen in the office along with the order forms.
We have two books in the office called Help Your Child To Succeed - The Essential Guide For Parents. You are very welcome to borrow them at any time. They are full of down-to-earth, helpful hints and ideas for all parents and are a highly recommended read.
Today sees the start of our Book Fair, which will last until next Thursday and will be held in the canteen. Thursday 4th March is World Book Day and your child should already have a £1 book token, which they can spend at the Book Fair as long as the book they buy costs at least £1.99. The tokens can also be used in bookshops, but only from 1st March. From Monday next week, the whole school will be involved in some kind of book activities and on Thursday 4th there is a whole-school dressing-up competition, with children being asked to come to school as their favourite fairy tale character. Prizes will be given to each class in a special assembly that afternoon. Don't forget, the more books you buy at the Book Fair, the more books we have free for school. Thank you for your support, B Frost.
