21 Apr 2004 - NEWSLETTER - April 2004
So much has happened already that it doesn't seem like it's only a week that I've been in the job!
Thanks for the warm welcome that I've received from those of you that I've met so far. I look forward to meeting you all over the coming weeks, months and years.
Simon Spry- Headteacher
Anyway, on with the news............
A massive well done to our boys' cross-country team who won the Plymouth Championships just before Easter. The team was Tomi, Josh, Oliver, Brandon, Josh and Rhys. Well done boys!
A big well done to our girls' team too: Catherine, Jade, Rebecca, Zoe and Lauren. Although the girls didn't win their competition, they all ran well and were a real credit to the school.
Thanks to all of you who helped with transport too.
At 11.00 a.m. on Sunday 30th May, Prince Rock will once again be entering a team in the annual Plymouth Fun Run on the Hoe. As many of you will know, we've won a cash prize for the last 2 years for entering the biggest team. wouldn't it be great to make it three in a row?
Thanks to those of you that have already entered, but if you'd like to join us and haven't done so yet, please pick up a form from the office. It's £2.50 for children and £3.00 for adults and forms need to be in by Friday April 30th. It should be great fun!
Mrs Smith will now be available in the school office from 8.30 until 4.00, Monday to Friday. Please try to see her within these hours.
A meeting to discuss Year 2's "Walkwise" road safety programme will take place at 2.00 p.m. on Monday 26th April in the Staff Room. All welcome, or see Miss Higman for details.
The clubs that haven't started yet will all begin again next week.
