28 May 2004 - NewsLetter May 2004

We begin this newsletter with news of another sporting success for Prince Rock. Last week our Tag Rugby team won the plate competition in the small schools section of the Tag Rugby Festival at Marjons. A big well done to Leanne, Shawna, Zoe, Catherine, Ashton, Tomi, Josh, Oliver and Josh.
This Sunday lots of you are joining us for the Fun Run on the Hoe. Prince Rock are meeting at 9:45 a.m. by the lighthouse. Don't forget safety pins for your numbers. See you there!

The children's annual reports will be available from 25th June. If you were provided with a report folder last year ( a cardboard folder containing last years report with a picture of your child on the front) please return this to the school office as soon as possible ( by 18th June at the latest) so that we can use it to send you your child's report for this year. Please note: if your child is new to the school this year, a folder will be provided.

Thank you to everyone who gave us Tesco vouchers. We'll let you know what we spend them on.

We are trialling some new procedures for signing in and out of reception and collecting children. These have been introduced to improve fire safety and general security.

Breakfast and After-school Clubs are now nearly full, but there are one or two spaces left on some days. See Miss James or Miss Cumbes for details.

Please do not put drinks in to book bags - We're getting lots of damaged reading books as the drinks containers do occasionally leak.

A big thank you to Friends of Prince Rock. So far they have raised enough money to buy TV/Video combination for KS1, Books to the value of £150 for KS2 and some giant outdoor games for Foundation. They are working with Year 6 to orgainise a big fun afternoon, followed by a disco towards the end of term. Watch this space for details.

The Year 1 family numeracy group are planning to paint some maths games on the KS1 playground. If anyone has any paint they're willing to donate please see Miss Prothero.
