GETTING EVEN MORE INVOLVED IN SCHOOL
Next term we are proposing a range of new and exciting initiatives to hopefully encourage even closer linkes between home and school.

HOME/SCHOOL LINK BOOK
The first of these is a new home/school link book, which has been devised by a working party, including teachers, teaching assistants, governors, friends of the school and parents. This book will hopefully give you regular updates on your child's work and behaviour in school and offer you and your child's teacher the chance to regularly discuss hoe things are going. This book and more details on its proposed use will be available during the first week of next term.
CLASS ASSEMBLIES
Next term we will be inviting parents to come in and watch class assemblies, which will take place at9.15 on Friday morning. The date for these are as follow:

Friday 21st January Class R
Friday 4th February Class 5
Friday 11th February Class 6
Friday 25th February Class 3
Friday 4th March Class 4
Friday 11th March Class 2
Friday 18th March Class 1

READING/I.C.T. AFTERNOONS
On Thursday 17th March, Mr Wallace will be hosting an open drop-in session for parents to come in and see how we teach reading in school, the resources we use and how you might be able to help with teaching reading at home. More details nearer the time. We are also proposing to hold an open drop-in session for parents to see the sort of work we do in our I.C.T. suite. Once again, details on this will be available next term.

All of the above are in addition to the things we usually do, including the target setting parents meeting which will hopefully take place in the week beginning Monday 28th February.

S. Spry Headteacher.

A big thank you to all the infant parents who heled out with our Christmas Craft afternoon. We felt it was a huge success and we hope to run a similar event next Easter.

We hope you enjoyed our recent Christmas production. A big thanks to everyone who helped to make it a great success.

It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to Louise Fox at Christmas. Louise has been with the school for the last 7 years as a parent, a governor, a friend and most recently as an MTA and school office volunteer. Louise is also responsible for this newsletter! Louise is leaving us to take up a job nearby with Age Concer. The whole school community will sorely miss her and we wish her well.

And hell again... to Mrs Minter who is rejoining us, partly as a MTA and partly as a Teaching Assistant. Welcome back!

ON BEHALF OF EVERYONE AT PRINCE ROCK , I WOULD LIKE TO WISH YOU ALL A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR.

SCHOOL WILL REOPEN FOR THE CHILDREN AT 8.50AM ON THURSDAY 6TH JANUARY 2005
