REMINDER
NEXT WEEK IS A THREE DAY WEEK!

Next Thursday 5th May Prince Rock Primary School is being used as a polling station. As a result of this the school will be closed all day. Breakfast, after school club and Bright Stars will be closed too. With Monday 3rd May being a bank holiday next week will be a very short and strange week!



Staffing news
One of our teaching assistants, Miss Rachael Cumbes, is leaving us in the summer to move back to her hometown of Manchester. She will be sorely missed. We will be advertising the vacancy soon and we will let you know as soon as any new appointment is made.


We have also appointed Mrs Tanya Boyland as an additional Meal Time Assistant to help us at dinner times as our numbers continue to rise.

P.E. every day!!

Since Easter all of the children and staff have been doing 5 minutes of daily physical activity every morning to start the day and wake everyone up before we get stuck in to our schoolwork. This takes the form of a short dance routine, which the children do in their normal school clothes. At the moment the infants and juniors are doing this separately in our 2 halls, however when the weather gets better in the summer we may do it at 8.50am in the playground so that you can all join in too. Watch this space!!!

Parent Governor vacancy

We currently have a vacancy for a parent governor to join the team of people that run the school. If you would like further details on what?s involved then please see Mr. Spry or one of our 2 current parent governors, Paula Luscombe or Julie Richardson.

Life Education caravan
The life Education caravan is returning to the school on Thursday 19th and Friday 20th May. All the children will visit the caravan during the 2 days, but from 2.45 ? 3.30 pm the caravan will be open for parents to visit. Please feel free to come along, meet the teacher and find out what the caravan is all about.

Do you have any dressing up clothes that your child has grown out of, or no longer wears? If so, the Infant Classes would be able to give them a new home! Please see Miss Prothero if you can help

Infant entrance
The infant entrance is getting increasingly congested in the mornings and we are becoming concerned about the children?s safety. Therefore if you need to come in to school could you please allow all the children to enter the building with their teacher first. Thank you.
