17 Dec 2007 - Prince Rock Primary School
WOW!!
What a great end to the term!!!
Hopefully most of you were able to see either one of our three Christmas plays in the school hall last week, or the brilliant nativity at St Jude’s Church. In fact I am sure many of you managed to get to see both! If you did then I am sure you would agree that the children behaved really well, they spoke and sang clearly and they danced and acted superbly. They were once again a real credit to you and the school. Well done to the children, all the staff at

Playground News
£1,300 so far - We’re nearly there!!
Although we are still counting and banking the cash from our recent fundraising events we are very close to raising the amount we need to build our new adventure playground. The fair raised over £300, the co-op raised over £300, the disco raised over £100 and the raffle raised over £600. We’ve put in a detailed bid in for planning permission and with one more fundraising push after Christmas we should be able to start building before Easter. A massive thanks to the friends group for all their efforts so far. Well done everyone!
Holidays
As you are bombarded with adverts for next summer’s holidays over the festive period, please remember to try not to book any holidays in term time. If, however, you do need to take your child out of school during term time please obtain a form from Mrs Smith in the school office. Please be aware that permission for holidays will definitely NOT be granted in the week of the school’s annual tests from Monday 12th –
Netball reports
Prince Rock have recently played two more league matches against teams from Plym View and Highfield. Once again the team played superbly, winning 11 – 0 and 8 – 1. The team have now played 6 and won the last 4.
Well done to Lauren, Bethany, Courtney, Jack, Gerard, Charlie
and Tertulien.
